About this Crew

Revealed on enrollment
Winemaker
Some of the world's highest vineyards, home to floral Torrontés and concentrated high-altitude Malbec. The estate behind this lot is named only to enrolled members; until then you're backing the region, the style, and a verified track record — not a label.
Cafayate has made wine far longer than any of us. We farm a small parcel of it, by hand, the way it was taught to us — high-altitude desert, intense sun, very cold nights, low rainfall.
“Warm, early start, then it cooled off and steadied. High-altitude desert, intense sun, very cold nights, low rainfall The canopy's ahead of where I'd want it, so we're pulling leaves to keep air moving.”
— the winemaker, updated this month
Balance over power. I'd take a wine you can finish a bottle of over one that wins a tasting and tires by the second glass.

No joke: the first shoots are up. We walked the property and flagged the gaps to replant — sandy alluvial soils with gravel and calcareous content here doesn't forgive a lazy season.

Crew chat went live this week. Already a debate about pick date versus hang time — exactly the argument I want you in on.

One year of your life, inside one vineyard's year. You'll follow the winemaker from bud break to bottle.
