The Tannat pushed its first leaves overnight — two days ahead of what my notebook says. high-altitude desert, intense sun, very cold nights, low rainfall is running warm. I'll take it, cautiously.

Winemaker
Some of the world's highest vineyards, home to floral Torrontés and concentrated high-altitude Malbec. The estate behind this lot is named only to enrolled members; until then you're backing the region, the style, and a verified track record — not a label.
Cafayate, Salta was a farming town long before it was a wine name. The family sold fruit to bigger houses for years before keeping it back and bottling under our own label.
“Cooler nights than usual through spring. Flowering was clean. Cautiously optimistic about where this vintage is heading.”
— the winemaker, updated this month
I farm for the place, not the score. Sandy alluvial soils with gravel and calcareous content under Tannat. Native ferments, restrained oak, and the patience to bottle late rather than thin.

Dug soil pits across the old block. You can watch the sandy alluvial soils with gravel and calcareous content change with every shovel — it's why no two rows here taste the same.

Welcomed the Crew this week — notes came in from further away than usual. If you've never tasted unripe-grape verjuice, the summer ship will surprise you.
