About this Crew

Revealed on enrollment
Winemaker
A working estate in Río Negro, Argentina — Malbec farmed on alluvial sand and gravel over calcareous subsoil along the river terraces, dry continental, cold nights and constant winds off the steppe, long sunlight hours. In the Crew model the winemaker stays anonymous until you enroll; until then the platform stands behind the data, the track record, and the samples. You meet them, and see the name, when you commit.
Nothing about this estate is large — a few parcels on alluvial sand and gravel over calcareous subsoil along the river terraces, walked by the same hands every season.
“Warm, early start, then it cooled off and steadied. Dry continental, cold nights and constant winds off the steppe, long sunlight hours The canopy's ahead of where I'd want it, so we're pulling leaves to keep air moving.”
— the winemaker, updated this month
Less, but better. Alluvial sand and gravel over calcareous subsoil along the river terraces grows fruit with its own grip, so I extract gently and stay out of the way. No additions I can avoid, no oak that talks over the place.

No joke: the first shoots are up. We walked the property and flagged the gaps to replant — alluvial sand and gravel over calcareous subsoil along the river terraces here doesn't forgive a lazy season.

Crew chat went live this week. Already a debate about pick date versus hang time — exactly the argument I want you in on.

One year of your life, inside one vineyard's year. You'll follow the winemaker from bud break to bottle.
