The history.
My family didn't set out to make fine wine; they set out to use the land they had. McLaren Vale at 50–200 m, ancient sandy loam over limestone and ironstone, and a cellar dug into the hill.

I came up watching Grenache get pushed too hard for ripeness. I pick earlier than my neighbors, keep the alcohol down, and let McLaren Vale speak at its own volume.
