Heat-aged fortified wine in estufa lodges above the Funchal harbor. The estate behind this lot is named only to enrolled members; until then you're backing the region, the style, and a verified track record β not a label.
These vines sit on volcanic basalt with red clay on narrow poios terraces at 0β600 m. The estate has farmed Funchal, Madeira for generations; we kept the old blocks and rebuilt the cellar around gravity.

I farm the same blocks my predecessors did and haven't found a reason to change much. Subtropical Atlantic, warm and humid on volcanic terraces. Pick on taste, ferment clean, age in wood that's already seasoned.
