Winemaker
Made on a small Bekaa Valley estate — Cabernet Sauvignon on gravelly clay and limestone over a high alluvial plateau. Anonymous by design: the trade name is revealed on commitment, after the samples and the data have done the talking.
Zahlé, Bekaa Valley was a farming town long before it was a wine name. The family sold fruit to bigger houses for years before keeping it back and bottling under our own label.
“Quiet season so far, which is the kind I like. No frost worth the name, even rain through spring. The old blocks broke bud first, the way they always do.”
— the winemaker, updated this month
I farm the same blocks my predecessors did and haven't found a reason to change much. High-altitude Mediterranean, hot dry summers and cold winters. Pick on taste, ferment clean, age in wood that's already seasoned.

Pruning finished — weeks of work, every cut by hand. The old vines on gravelly clay and limestone over a high alluvial plateau still look sharp going into the season.
